Hi, All!
I've been my quiet little self, just watching my favorite reality TV programs and hollering at the screen, but I can't take it anymore... hence my new blog. Seriously, I am thinking about entering a "Kardashian-free" TV environment! If there was ever a family that has worked more relentlessly to get their name and products out there to make the big bucks, I'm not sure who it would be... I guess they have a great work ethic, but geez, I can't go an hour without seeing something about them on TV or reading about them in the news.
I guess my last straw was the $17 million+ wedding extravaganza followed by divorce proceedings 72 days later... UGH!!! I could kick myself for watching the two night wedding special in early October. Were any of you cringing while watching the lead-up to the over-the-top nuptuals? Kris had virtually no say-so in anything, and when Kris Jenner said that she had gotten limos for HER family, but hadn't even thought about providing his side limos, it just showed the total lack of concern for anyone but themselves. I was screaming to Kris H. to RUN-FOR-THE-HILLS. One thing I WILL say, is that I know that TV editing can change so much of what was actually taped to what we see as the final version. In my opinion, the K. family really didn't get a very positive edit of the wedding planning, etc, so just imagine what the actual raw taping was like??? I shudder to think...
Maybe Kris H. will now get some endorsements for himself, and I say "go for it" after all you've put up with...
Continuing on my mini-rampage - If Kim did tweet "Justin Beiber's" phone number to her fans, and it was the Dancing With the Stars voting number for her brother, then I just say "shame on you". Wonder how that will go over with the "fans"?
I'm thinking that all this over-exposure of this family might lead to a crash-and-burn. As soon as the "next big thing" comes along, I think the family will be scrambling to try to stay relevant. And, lastly, when I was a kid, I had such a crush on Bruce Jenner. He doesn't seem like remotely the same guy now. I guess he has been "Kardashian-ized".
